Terrain™ warrants products purchased from terraingear.com or authorized dealers to be free of defects in materials or workmanship for one year, unless stated differently in the product information or for the maximum period allowed under your jurisdiction-if less. Warranty time period begins upon receipt of product.
Warranty Coverage on Trekking Poles
- Carbon Shaft Trekking Poles have a one-year warranty against defects in materials or workmanship, resulting from normal wear and product usage while in the field.
- Aluminum Shaft Trekking Poles have a two-year warranty against defects in materials or workmanship, resulting from normal wear and product usage while in the field.
- This warranty does not cover lost parts including, but not limited to; wrist straps, baskets, tip boots or other trekking pole components.
- Many of these replacement parts may be purchased directly through our customer service group at [email protected] or by going to terraingear.com.
Warranty Coverage on Waterproof Gear Bags
Waterproof Gear Bags have a one-year warranty against defects in materials or workmanship, resulting from normal wear and product usage while in the field. This warranty also excludes normal wear and tear and the breakdown of materials due to age, use, or environmental conditions occurring around fresh and/ or saltwater environments.
Caution: Use only as intended. Protect your ePod Pocket from sharp objects, abrasions and harsh chemicals. Always inspect your ePod Pocket for wear and tear before use. Terrain™ is not responsible for any damage caused to personal property or equipment from use of this product.
Additional Warranty Considerations or Exclusions:
Zipper Closures: To close and seal your Bag Pockets, push the slider firmly into the zipper hood. If the slider is not fully inserted into the zipper hood the zipper will not seal as intended. Test the waterproof seal on your Bag Pockets periodically by submerging them after fully closing the zipper. Do not use if bubbles escape during testing.
The Terrain™ Waterproof Gear Bags warranty does not cover damage to products that are not Terrain™ produced products, but are stored in or used in conjunction with our products. All warranty decisions are left to the discretion of the Warranty & Returns Department.
Scope & Limitations of General Warranty
Terrain™ warrants products purchased from terraingear.com or authorized dealers to be free of defects in materials or workmanship for one year, unless stated differently in the product information or for the maximum period allowed under your jurisdiction-if less.
TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE WARRANTY HAS THE FOLLOWING LIMITATIONS:
- THE REMEDIES OUTLINED IN THIS WARRANTY ARE THE EXCLUSIVE AND SOLE REMEDIES FOR THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER ONLY;
- THIS WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED BY LAW, COURSE OF DEALING, COURSE OF PERFORMANCE, USAGE OF TRADE OR OTHERWISE;
- AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF TERRAIN™ SHALL NOT EXCEED THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THE DEFECTIVE PRODUCT; AND IN NO EVENT SHALL TERRAIN™ BE LIABLE FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENT, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, EVEN IF FORESEEABLE.
Exclusions from Warranty Coverage
Excluded from coverage under this warranty are the following:
- Terrain™ products purchased other than from terraingear.com or from an authorized Terrain™ dealer
- Third-party products used in conjunction with Terrain™ products
- Damage resulting from continued use of Terrain™ product after giving notice of a defect under this warranty
- Damage resulting from abuse or misuse
- Damage resulting from neglect, poor care, or improper storage
- Damage resulting from extended wear and tear
- Damage resulting from tampering or modification
- Damage resulting from exposure to a caustic substance
